Event Information & Ticketing

Everything you need to know before you arrive — what to expect, how to buy tickets, and answers to common questions.

What to expect

Crescent Family Events are designed first and foremost for families. Children are not just welcome — they're the heart of the day. Expect warm hospitality, halal food, prayer-friendly spaces, and a relaxed atmosphere where elders, parents, teens, and toddlers can each find their corner.

Most of our events run two to six hours and weave together three rhythms: a hands-on activity (a workshop, a craft, a game), a shared meal, and a quiet moment together — a story, a short reflection, or a sunset prayer. We schedule around salah times, provide ablution facilities at every venue, and clearly mark separate areas where families need them.

Accessibility matters: every venue we book is step-free, and we list mobility, sensory, and dietary accommodations on each event page.

How to buy tickets

  1. Pick an event

Scroll up to Upcoming Events and tap any card. Each card lists the date, location, and ticket price up front.

  2. Choose your tickets

Most events use a per-family rate; some use per-adult / per-child pricing or a suggested donation. The ticket page makes the breakdown clear.

  3. Check out securely

We accept all major cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay through our payment partner. You'll receive a confirmation email with a QR code within minutes.

  4. Arrive & check in

Show your QR code (printed or on your phone) at the welcome desk. Children under 5 are always free and don't need a separate ticket.

Need financial assistance? No family is ever turned away. Email welcome@CrescentFamilyEvents.com before any event and we'll arrange a no-questions-asked complimentary ticket.

Frequently asked questions

Are events suitable for very young children?

Yes — most of our events are explicitly designed for families with young children, and we always provide a quiet room for nursing mothers and a soft-play corner for toddlers. Children under 5 attend free.

Is the food halal? What about allergies?

All food served at our events is certified halal and we work only with vendors we have personally vetted. We label common allergens (nuts, dairy, gluten, sesame) clearly on every dish, and we always include vegetarian and vegan options. If you have a specific allergy, let us know on the ticket form and we'll confirm safe options before you arrive.

Do you have separate spaces for sisters and brothers?

It depends on the event. Family-oriented events (picnics, festivals, iftars) are mixed and family-style. Workshops or talks marked "Sisters'" or "Brothers'" in the title are single-gender. The event page always says clearly which one applies.

What is your refund policy?

Full refunds are available up to 7 days before an event. Within 7 days, we offer a credit toward any future event. If we cancel an event for any reason, all attendees are refunded automatically within 5 business days.

Are non-Muslim friends and neighbors welcome?

Absolutely. Many of our events — especially the iftar potluck and the Eid picnic — are designed as a way for the broader community to gather, share food, and meet their Muslim neighbors. Bring a friend.

How do I volunteer?

We rely on volunteers for setup, kids' activities, food service, and cleanup. Email volunteer@CrescentFamilyEvents.com with your name and any availability — we'll match you to an upcoming event.
